Both my girls love products that smell good – shampoo, body wash etc. Sometimes the products they would like to use are made with chemicals and parabens. That is why I love Babo Botanicalsshampoos and body washes. Their new Berry Primrose Smoothing Shampoo and Wash and smoothing conditioner are perfect for tweens. They smell amazing (according to my two tweens) and I love how the shampoo acts as a wash as well so in the instance you have swimmers like my two you only have to pack one bottle!
Speaking of swimmers, babo has their Swim & Sport line and the girls love the Swim & Sport Conditioner as it detangles and helps to strengthen hair.
I love the Oatmilk Calendula shampoo and body wash and the moisturizing baby lotion as it is great for sensitive skin. What I have found is many times with organic products they don’t necessarily smell that great. But all their products smell amazing and are very soothing.  All are also made in the U.S.A without any parabens or phthalates. Check them out!

Looking for a quick trip overnight someplace close with adventure, water and relaxation? We recommend the newest indoor waterpark resort @GreatWolfLodge. We were invited to the grand opening celebration last week in Fitchburg, Mass and what an adventure. I surprised my kids by not telling them their secret destination for the day. When we pulled up to the parking lot they were screaming! This really is a family fun destination as not only does it have 68,000 square feet of waterpark but 300,000 gallons of water and it’s more than a waterpark with interactive games, activities, a kiddie spa and more.
There is a waterslide for all ages from the kiddie Whooping Hallow and Tadpole Pond to the Howling Tornado and the exclusive Wolf Tale, you will not be bored at all. The girls and I loved the Slap Tail Pond which is the gigantic wave pool. I tested ALL the waterslides and I do mean ALL of them including the Wolf Tale, in which you step into a clear enclosed tunnel and then the clear floor drops right out from underneath you. The younger kids would love the Fort Mackenzie which is like a treehouse in water!
We were so impressed with the waterpark that we didn’t even venture back to the Howlin Timbers Play Park (next time!) There is a 9-hole mini golf course, family bowling and a 30 feet adventure climbing attraction! There is also the Howly Wood® XD Theater which is a motion thrill ride that transports you directly into the movie action! We will have to check this out for sure next time we visit!
My girls also loved the Scooops Kids Spa which has ice cream-themed manicures, facials and more. There are three different gift shops and six restaurants/snack bars (which includes a Dunkin Donuts). Ok so where does the relaxation come in? I like how the lounge chairs are close by the pool so if mom and dad want to take a bit of a break they can. However, I was going non-stop with my kids! There is also the arcade and a restaurant close by in the arcade so parents can relax there too. My girls are all about a good arcade experience!

We are heading into the summer season in New England so that means lots of sun! As I age I try to avoid the bad affects of the sun and use lots of sunscreen but am trying more ways to combat those wrinkles. I have tried my share of wrinkle reducing creams and just discovered this new technology called The Trinity Facial Toaning Device by NuFace. It is an FDA cleared device to improve facial contour and skin tone and is a wrinkle reducer. I like it because it is easy to use, takes only 5 minutes a day and you can see a difference in wrinkle reduction. You simply prep your skin with the gel primer, glide the NuFACE device over your face (directions show you exactly how to do it -in the right direction) and remove the primer and wipe down the device. Simple!
How exactly does the device work? It delivers soft wave microcurrents to stimulate the skin so you will see an improved appearance. I really didn’t feel anything as I used it just every once in a while would I feel a slight tingle.
I just love fashionable summer clothes. Especially fashionable summer clothes with a purpose and an SPF! Cabana Lifehas great protective hats, cover ups and beachwear for the whole family and they are all very stylish and functional.
A rashguard is a great way to stay covered up but I never found one that I like or that looked good on, until now. This ruched one in a bright blue color can also double as a dress in the instance you leave the beach or pool for a quick lunch or shopping trip. Simply pull the stings on the side to wear longer or shorter as either a shirt or dress and you are good to go. It also has an SPF 50 built into the fabric so you are protected too.
The Blue Cove hat is the best one I have seen and it looks great on! With a wide brim (5.5″ ) it is a perfect addition to your rashguard.
They have a variety of cover-ups, hats, accessories and beach bags to choose from too. What I love most is you can get a matching tunic cover-up for your daughter and yourself. Stay sun-safe this summer!

Now that the warmer weather is here (and bathing suit season is here as well) a little color on your skin from a bottle would be a nice! Self-tanning from a bottle has changed over the years and it’s more natural looking now as many companies have come up with their own formulations for tanning lotion. What I like best about Vita Liberata is their anti-aging benefits in the lasting tinted tan lotion and the luxury gradual build face tan lotion. They are both self-tanners but with anti-aging benefits all in one. Unlike other self-tanning lotions which fade after a few days this one lasts (going on a week so far!) The tinted tan lotion gives an instant bronze look and then develops into a tan over 4-8 hours. It also dries pretty quickly. It also seems to fade more naturally then other self-tanners, plus there is no odd smell and it is moisturizing. Make sure you use their tanning mitt as it helps to smooth out the lotion and you will not have tanner on your hands. (it does dry quickly so you wont have time to wash it off!)
The gradual build untinted face tan lotion is very moisturizing so you can use this in place of your regular moisturizer and it provides a subtle glow. Facial self-tanners can be tricky and in my experience testing them out is always a big what if and I’m always wondering, “what color will it look like??” But this one provides a very natural glow. You can use it until you achieve the perfect color for you – so light or dark – whichever you prefer.

But thanks to PacificaI have these must have items for the beach/pool bag. One of my favorite lines is Pacifica. An eco-friendly line of fragrances, cosmetics and even candles their products are just great. They now have nail polish in really fun colors. Actually they have 25 shades to choose from on the Pacificasite.  The nail line does not contain any harsh chemicals or parabens so it’s perfect for my tween girls. They love the nail colors, especially the Amethyst Castle and Nirvana ones we tested out. Also great to toss in your beach/pool bag, especially if you are headed out for the evening after a day on the sand or in the pool are the coconut water cleansing wipes. The pre-moistened towelettes smell so nice and are really refreshing. The solid perfume is great to throw in the bag too as you won’t have to worry about a bottle breaking and their enlightened gloss and creamy lip butters come in really nice colors for the summer. We all love baseball and Fenway Park (and especially attending games!) The Red Sox Foundation is holding its second annual yoga sessions at Fenway Park on Sunday, June 8th. You can register for $25 at fenwayoga.com and each participant must raise a minimum of $250 for the foundation. #FenwaYoga will raise funds for two of the foundation’s cornerstone programs, the Red Sox Scholars Program and the RBI Youth Baseball and Softball Programs.
There will be two classes along the warning track and will be taught by celebrity yoga instructor Mandy Ingber, creator of Yogalosophy. The two morning classes will take place at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and are geared towards all levels of experience.

Summer is right around the corner so that means its time to exfoliate and self-tan that skin! The products I love to use to prep the skin for the summer (and really to use the whole year) are these must have’s from Josie Maran. They have an amazing sugar balm body scrub that will help prep the skin for your self tanner.
