Feather Extensions

Have your kids asked for a feather in their hair?   My kids begged for a feather extension in their hair for about three months.  So at the start of school we went to the salon and for $10 each they put a colored feather in their hair. The money went directly to charity so I thought why not. It reminded me of high school a bit but there were no chemicals involved just a tool to tread it in and crimp it to their hair.   Of course it did not last very long – only a few weeks so anytime we see a feather somewhere they want it. I prefer just clipping them on with a small clip so they can come out easily and they can change them whenever they want. The Homework Box @MomsMadeEasy

We are in our back to school mode but my kids are not excited about homework. That is until they saw the homework box. “What’s that and can I use it?”  “That looks cool” were the responses I received from my 7 and 10 year old. When I told them it was to help them stay organized with their homework they thought it was cool.

Moms Made Easy sent us one to review and we love it. If it comes time for homework in your house and there is always a delay of, where’s my pencil, stapler, etc.etc. well now there is no more excuses to not be organized with this homework organizing system. Check out my video review.

Travel size products

I just love travel size products. Not only are they necessary when you travel but they are a great way to test out products you just are not sure about.  I found some of my favorite products the other day in travel sizes (my kids squealed when t hey saw them as they are cute in the smaller version)

My older daughter loves this shampoo and conditioner from Organix, especially the coconut milk shampoo and conditioner. She also loves the tea tree mint. I was so excited when I saw them in the travel size.  I had no idea they had a body line as well so we’ll have to test it out!

Even Fairy Tales has a travel size.  The kids are ok with me spraying the Rosemary Repel Leave-In Spray and now with the 2oz travel size I can take it with me anywhere. Hello…you will be spraying the back of the head rest on the plane with this stuff!
