The March issue of People Style Watch – my favorite magazine – had a story in their fashion scoop section on how Coach revisits the classics. It seems every celebrity is now carrying classic purses. Coach has introduced its Coach Classics which is a collection of five of its most popular leather bag designs from the 1970s. I have a few old school Coach bags just hanging in my closet that I rarely pull out -see picture.  It is nice to know that they are still in the best shape. I of course cannot say that about a few other non-leather designer purses I have. I do love a good leather purse. I have a few designer fabric ones that just did not hold up as well as my leather coach ones have over the years. Here’s to the classics!

What fun those TV anchors are at BetterCT at WFSB-TV! We were talking spring organizing and cleaning. Here is the clip and here are some of the items we showcased.
WFSB-TV Trendymommies.com segment.
- I love a fresh calendar each year. If you have not picked one out yet (what are you waiting for it’s March!) check out the selection at calendars.com. I still like to write things down and not rely on my phone.  They by far have the best “mom” calendars!
- WE all need to purge the contents of our handbag each season. Start with a fun, colorful bag and organize yourself with a purse organizer like this one from pouchee. They come in great colors and fabrics and it is a neat way to hold all of your purse items. If you are always looking for your keys – try this cute key ring from Finders Key Purse. Why didn’t I think of that? No more searching the bottom of your purse!
- For the home office you need a label maker – The brother simply stylish label maker is the best buy and a special application allows you to print decorative symbols and borders to personalize your labeling projects. I also love the folders, boxes, files, etc. from the Martha Stuart Collection by Avery available at staples as everything is color coordinated.
- Also for the home office don’t forget to spring clean your computer! Maybe finally go through all those folders and pictures. You can also make sure to back them up with the Hitachi Touroâ„¢ Mobile Pro portable drive. It is super easy, and provides two levels of data protection to help keep your family photos, home movies, music and documents safe.
- To keep kids snack and lunch organized try the bento buddies laptop lunch boxes. It will save you time and money! It also ensures that you eat a bit more healthier as these containers are perfect for fruits and veggies.
- For kitchen cleaning you need a great cleaner with no toxic chemicals.  Citra Solv is a company that produces all natural cleaners with sweet smelling scents! I do love the glass cleaner with orange as it has a bit of vinegar in it. I have heard that vinegar and water are great to use to wipe down your kitchen counter during spring as vinegar acts as a natural ant repellent.
- To clean off your babies toys, highchair or car seat try the Dapple Baby line of products. They are just great! Dapple products are baby-safe and are made with non-toxic ingredients. Keep the wipes in your car to clean off the car seats and be confident that you kids can touch the seat after with no worries of yucky chemicals.

Spring Organizing and Cleaning
Spring is here…I think…you never know with this weather in New England. Today on 980 WCAP-AM’s trendymommies report we were talking spring cleaning and spring organizing (a topic I will cover in depth over the next few weeks) Here are my new favorite items to keep me organized!
- Moms, you need a calendar that works for you. Calendars.com has the best selection of mom organizers and calendars. They are the largest online calendar retailer in the world! I like the More Times Mom Family Organizer 2012 Pocket Wall Calendar and the Do it All Mom as it has cute stickers to remind you of your kids activities and appointments and looks good on your desk!
- To keep my corkboard organized I love the design of the push pins from Kenwood Lane. Choose the color that works in your home office. A punch of color makes organizing paper and photos fun.
- Keep your purse organized right from the start with these two fun items: Pouchee is a great purse organizer and finders key purse is a key ring with a hook that you can hang on your purse so no more digging for your keys inside your purse!
- Finally ladies we have to re-purpose items. I love the ReSnackIt reusable and washable snack and sandwich bags for my kids lunches and snacks. I also love them for travel – to store jewelry, to keep items organized in your purse and to store hair accessories as well.

My new water bottle @BambooBottleCO
I have a bunch of stainless steel water bottles which I love – you won’t see any plastic bottles in this household! While attending the Be Healthy Boston Expo I discovered a new bottle which is quite unique and I am sure my mom friends will love it.  The Bamboo Bottle is a glass bottle surrounded by an outer layer of bamboo. The bottle, including the straw and lid is BPA free. I love drinking water out of glass and will enjoy my iced tea out of my new glass bottle too! It is also safe for hot beverages as well. The glass can slide out for easy cleaning and is dishwasher-safe. The creators of this bottle wanted to add an element of bamboo as according to the web site: “It is as sleek as it is durable. It is as stylish as it is sensible. And it’s renewable”. It is a bit heavy but it’s perfect to keep by my bedside table and on my office desk.

You all know I love chocolate! Sometimes I have to have it every day. A good dark chocolate can actually be healthy for you but a bit of chocolate every day can add up (that is on the scale!)
A friend of mine actually gave me these adora calcium supplements as a gift for Christmas (along with a fine gift card to @Marshalls) as she knows how much I love chocolate. She tried to explain them to me and how tasty they were and they were hard chocolate and yummy (yeah..right a supplement that tastes good). When I finally tasted them I got it! Each chocolate disk has only 30 calories per serving and provides half of your daily value of calcium. It also provides vitamin D3 and magnesium. You can take one disk up to three times a day.
Women certainly don’t get enough calcium and now we have a tasty option. There are no artificial sweeteners, no trans fats or corn syrup and they are gluten free. Adora is available online and at Whole Foods and at the Vitamin Shoppe. I have tried both the dark chocolate and the milk chocolate (Disclosure: the company sent me a package of the milk chocolate to test out) and both are creamy and oh so good! Finally, a healthier way to supplement my chocolate cravings! Taste for yourself and let me know what you think…..

I am amazed at all the creative, unique and ergonomically correct baby items available on the market today. When my first daughter arrived I thought I had the latest and greatest products. Then my second daughter was born and again I was shocked at what new baby products were introduced in the marketplace. Fast forward 7 years later and there are even better products, especially for feeding. I wish I had this mimijumi not so hungry baby bottle when my girls were born as I bet it would have made transitioning between breast and bottle much smoother.
The bottle’s design is quite unique and is based on the psychological dynamics of feeding/soothing items as transitional objects. The bottle even looks like a breast! It is also free of BPA and phthalates and it includes what they call an integrated ventilation system to aid in baby’s digestion. The 4 oz. retails for $13.99. Disclosure: the company sent me the not so hungry bottle to review.

It’s the busy time of year: holiday parties, shopping, visits to Santa and other various things pop up like those annoying holiday cards! It’s just annoying to me as I have yet to do mine and I see all these lovely cards each day coming in the mail with happy faces and multiple photos of friends and families at different locations throughout the year.
This year I may send out Happy New Year cards as my to do list gets longer and longer. Sure, it is easier than ever to put together a holiday card – hello CVS, tiny prints and shuttyerfly.com – now if only you could write them, stamp them and mail them for me that would be fantastic!
