Product Review: Physicians Formula @PFCosmetics

I have a ton of lip glosses, lip sticks, lip crayons, etc. and when I come across a new one I just have to try it! But no all of them work so well and when you are on the run and need to put on lip gloss in a hurry, where’s the mirror?  That is why I love pHmatchmaker pH powered lip gloss. This lip gloss by Physicians Formula reacts to your own lip pH and creates a flattering color just for you that lasts for 10 hours. It also has an LED powered cap so you can see your lips when you apply. Did I mention the mirror on the side?? What a fab idea. They are fragrance free, gluten and paraben free. The cost is $9.95.

I also tested out a few of Physicians Formula’s other great products. The sexy booster glossy stain is another great product. It is a gloss and stain hybrid formula that lasts 12 hours. They infused it with ingredients that mimic the effect of pheromones and it has a scent of vanilla and musk. It comes in red and pink and it is $9.95.

I also loved the Happy Booster, a glow and mood boosting illuminating bronzing veil. Made of powdered heats in a compact, the gold and bronze hearts provide a shimmery glow of bronzer.  It costs $13.95.

The mineral wear talc-free airbrushing pressed bronzer SPF 30 is an ultra fine pressed bronzer that is perfect for sensitive or breakout-prone skin. It has Vitamins A & E and formulated with Chamomile, Ginseng and Green Tea for a flawless look. It comes in light bronzer and bronzer and costs $13.95.

Baby Showers Have Changed!

I recently went to two baby showers within the last month. Both my husband’s friends’ wives were having little ones. (finally!)  The fun certainly has changed!  Both were very fun but I don’t remember playing games and getting prizes when my friends were having showers. At the first one it was co-ed and there was a game of Pictionary to start off the festivities. It was men against the women and we had to draw baby items – that was a riot! The other shower consisted of adorable games of guessing what baby items were in the paper bag or what type of baby food was in the jar (people actually tasted it!) But my favorite game was a take on the newlywed game in which the couple had to guess questions about the pregnancy. It was so much fun. Everyone left with a prize too!

Grocery shopping with kids!

Last night I took my kids grocery shopping. Yes, both of them…together…at night! When I do the grocery shopping I just like to do it by myself and rarely do I take the kids with me. But last night they were so cute and we really had fun as they started to notice the larger size items in the store. Who??…they thought could eat all this? The photos were funny.  They really wanted me to get their favorite cheese in an enormous size! This was probably one of the funniest trips I had with them so I will definitely take them with me again!

So after last night I remembered when they were younger they did go shopping with me on occasion but not before I set up a few rules:

1. I would let them pick out two treats each. No more sneaking an extra bag of chips or cookies when I was not looking

2. Any whining and it’s an immediate, “we are leaving” (and without those treats!)

3.  They do have to help with the bringing in the bags and putting stuff away. This is still hard for them to do.

4.  Stick together. No wondering around the store (especially in the cookie isle)

5. Stick to the list. I’ve tried this myself and it is hard but if you refer back to, “Is that on the list?” if no, then we cannot get it this time.

Now that I recall if I set the rules beforehand my kids were pretty well behaved. Do you shop with your kids or no?

Oscars round-up, Oh no Yahoo! Today on @980WCAP

A big welcome back from February school vacation! I came to the conclusion after a couple days away to lovely long island in the winter that my kids only need a nice hotel pool, free treats from that hotel in the afternoon and an arcade nearby and they are all set and have a grand time.

But just a couple days.  I am a sucker for any travel bag and whenever I see a small case, zippered compartment tote or make-up bag that works I have to get it.  But over the years some just don’t work quite right. I found this small train case cosmetics bag at Target by Sonia Kashuk and it functions brilliantly. One side is for brushes, eyeliner and lipliners and the other deeper side is perfect for the rest. Plus there is no digging as you can see everything. I like when I find a deal that works well and this “snakeskin” small cosmetics bag just works.

Valentine’s Day hair clips

If you have young kids they (or should I say you) are probably choosing a cute outfit to put on for Valentine’s Day. I always liked to dress my kids in red on this day.
