My new fav: Scenterpiece @TheYankeeCandle

We love Yankee Candles!  I especially love this new Yankee Candle Scenterpiece easy melt cup warmer as there are no flames and no mess!  It is so easy to use and provides a nice aroma to any room with some of your favorite Yankee Candle scents.  All you do is plug in the warmer and drop in the scenterpiece easy melt cups and within a few minutes the aroma of  apple cider or spiced pumpkin or any of your favorite fragrances fills the room.  (yes, I happen to like the fall ones!)  It’s easy and a much more stylish way to enjoy your favorite scents. The warmers come is a variety of colors and styles. Clean up is much easier too – let it cool before you remove the cup!  A fun, new way to change scents without the mess of a traditional wax melt.  Check it out!

Disclosure: The company sent me a warmer to test out and review. All opinions are my own.

New moms: check out @100percentpure

I received some great products to test out and they are perfect for the new mom or any woman who is investigating more nature beauty products. 100% pure is one of the healthiest, purest skincare lines I have seen! The line offers make-up, facial skin care and body washes. These products below are perfect for the new mom as well as the whole family really. Both my kids and I use the extra gentle baby lotion and the diaper cream is great for any summer rash. The coffee bean caffeine eye cream works wonders on dark circles and puffiness (so perfect for those new moms who are not getting a lot of sleep!) The sun stick and the moisture stick are small enough for the diaper bag. I cannot wait to try their make-up products too. The line is free of synthetic chemicals, artificial fragrances, chemical preservatives. Check out their web site!  They even have weekly specials and candles too!

Love the skin and body care @NourishUSDA

I am always testing out beauty products and I really am focused on using more natural products on my skin and trying to get my tweens to use more natural products too.  I love this new line of 100% USDA organic skincare and bodycare called Nourish Organic.  The products smell really nice, they have a variety of products and according to their web site it is clinically proven to moisturize skin. According to me it does and works great! The company is based in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, and their products are completely natural and organic,as well as cruelty-free, gluten-free, and mostly vegan. I tested out the ultra-moisturizing hand wash. This is the wash you want on hand when the kids go back to school and for winter time as it’s truly moisturizing. It doesn’t dry out your hands like most hand soap does.  I also love the body wash. It is a moisturizing body wash and is great for sensitive skin. The almond vanilla is great but it comes in lemon, berry and others as well.  The fresh and dry deodorant is the first USDA-certified deodorant on the market and I have been testing out many “natural” deodorants and this one works and comes in many fragrances as well a an unscented version. Check out all their products online. Disclosure: The company sent me the products above to review. All opinions are my own.

Announcing End of Summer #RedSoxFamily Ticket Packages @RedSox #RedSoxMoms

What a fun night with my girls at the Red Sox game. Have you been lately? It’s not too late to enjoy a night out and to purchase tickets. It really is the best way to spend a warm summer evening. Plus, I noticed there are so many family friendly activities to do while you are at the game. The Kid Nation Clubhouse is a space inside Fenway Park designed for the youngest fans! This kid-friendly area is open to children of all ages and their families, as a place to relax and includes fun activities for the kids. The Kid Nation Clubhouse is located in the Champions Club (by Gate B) from the third through seventh innings of select Red Sox games. The fun activities include face painting, games, Caricature Artist, balloon making and more and of course a visit from Wally!

We were invited as part of a special event to take part in a commercial for the end of Summer Family Ticket Packages. Here is a link to the details and how to purchase tickets! https://www.redsox.com/familypack

Ticket packages available for games Aug 14-Aug 22 (different price points available based on seat locations)Purchase tickets through the link above and with these tickets you will receive:

o FREE parking in the Prudential Center Garage (not too far to walk!)

o FREE Boston Duck Tours ride from the garage to Fenway Park (this is the fun part for the little kids…oh and the big kids too – I loved it!

o Activity booklets for the kids (keeps them busy IF they get bored!)

o Free Duck Boat ride back to parking lot (how cool is that?)

A family friendly ball game, fun activities, good food (Tasty Burger is right inside the park now!) what’s not to love?

Time for a new calendar! @PlanAhead

It is that time of year when I look for a new, hard copy calendar. Yes, I still use a calendar that you actually write in and not my iphone. I just like seeing my schedule in writing. Plus there are ones that have room for all your kids activities. That is why I love this one from Plan Ahead.  It is their mother’s 18 month planner which starts July 2014 and runs to December 2015. It has room for a photo of your kids up front. It shows a month at a glance and the week at a glance with space for you to list out your kids activities. It is small enough to carry around and it’s just perfect.  This one also has a space in back for notes and a vacation planning section too.  Plan Ahead has lots of organizers and address books to choose from. And yes, I still have my contacts in a hard copy book, because you never know. I’m odd school like that. Check out all their products from back to school online and then head to your favorite retailer like Walmart or CVS to purchase.

Tween Trends: 10 year old testing out @Instax @Fuji_Instax

After cleaning out my dad’s apartment as he was moving, my daughter became curious with what she called the funny camera. Yes, it was an instant camera from the 70’s! Her friend had a new version of an instant camera and she was excited to be able to test out the Fuji Film Instax Mini 8. It comes in fun colors, it’s real easy to use and of course offers immediate photos!

My kids were so used to taking iphone photos (and a million of one pose) so I had to explain to her you really have to want the photo because it’s film and each film cartridge only had 10 photos. You simply press the button beside the lens to turn power on, adjust the dial depending on if you need to shoot in the sun/clouds, etc. and shoot. It’s that easy and so much fun. It really reminds me of my childhood. Pictures that pop up instantly – now that is a nice change of pace instead of wondering what to do with my thousands of photos on my laptop!

My 10 year old loves the camera. She really thinks about the pose and frames the subjects just so. A fun gift idea and perfect for summer vacation memories! It’s affordable too – less than $70!

Disclosure: The company sent me the Instax to test out. All opinions are my own.
