Gifts for teachers, mom and more @TheYankeeCandle

It is not too early to start your holiday shopping. For teachers I love to send in a small gift card, a candle or something homemade from your child. When you are having a hard time trying to figure out what to get as a nice gift for someone on your list, think about purchasing a Yankee Candle. I just love their fragrances and there really is something for everyone (you know they have man candles too). Prices range from $1.99 to $27.99, so there really is something for everyone on your list.

My two new favorites are Luscious Plum which is an exquisitely rich and festive scent of sugar-coated plums is a Christmas fantasy come true and Christmas Candyâ„¢ a sentimental holiday favorite, bright and festive with sweet and spicy notes! I love during the holiday season when the house is filled with wonderfully warm fragrances. I also really like the car jars and their candle accessories including their candle trays!

I have started my Christmas Shopping and other things on my list

Yes, I know it’s early but I have started my Christmas shopping. Everywhere I went I heard holiday music in the stores this weekend. While some believe we need to celebrate one holiday at a time I am all for getting a head start.  Even Santa is at the mall already!

However, this year as my kids get older they are more about celebrating experiences. Of course gifts are nice too they say, but my older daughter requested a trip to Florida instead of presents! During the busy time of year we do have our favorite things to do – a trip to NYC, Festival of Trees (in my town I grew up in) and I would like to add a few things on my to do list for the kids. They would like to go back to Great Wolf Lodge and I would like to go back to a fun hotel we stayed at a year ago Cranwell Resort I would also like to venture to New Hampshire as well. Some things like spending time with family on a fun adventure cannot be wrapped up in a gift box or bag but the memories will last and that is on my list of holiday gifts to give this year.

What’s in your closet? @QVC comfy, trendy and easy to wear pieces for the holiday

No idea what to wear to the office when you have an evening gathering after work? What about what to wear for a fun shopping trip with the girls? QVC to the rescue. I don’t normally shop via the television but every once in a while I will be channel surfing and have noticed lately, they have some really nice items (plus you can go online to shop too)

Every year right before the holidays I head out with my two grade school friends for a shopping trip. I need something fun, fashionable and comfy to wear and here it is! These pieces from @QVC are really nice. I have worn the leather leggings on a number of occasions and get complements every time I wear them. Plus there are the most comfortable (not sticky) faux leather ones I have seen!

I am petite so I usually wear a heal anywhere I go and that is why the Sole Society Keyla Leather Hidden Wedge Ankle Boots is perfect. They are comfortable but the wedge gives me a bit of height! Top off the outfit with the Nicole Richie Collection Chiffon Top w Neckline Embellishment and it is an outfit for a day of shopping or an evening out. What I like about the top is the neckline detail as it is essentially a built in necklace. Simply add a pair of gold hoops and that is all you need to head out the door. Holiday beauty kits: Shop now @ILovePacifica

Ok, I realize that Halloween has not happened yet, but I know from experience that any good, fun make-up kit that is made especially for the holiday season goes in a flash, so when you see them in October you better scoop them up. That is why I was so excited to test out these fun, new products from Pacifica. Their stellar eye trio is a great gift for the holiday season for the gal in your life that likes a little sparkle. The kit includes an eye liner, mascara and eye shadow duo. It’s only $20!

@NECN TV segment on Halloween Savings

It’s that time of year for all the fun of Halloween shopping. There are ways to save on costumes and candy and we have some tips for you.  We shared them with Peter Howe @NECN for a segment on Money Saving Monday. @CanonUSAPRO #CitySenses event with @DonnieWahlberg

What a fun night and event at Canon’s PIXMA PRO City Senses interactive gallery at EpiCenter: Artists for Humanity in Boston. The event was hosted by Donnie Wahlberg and yes his wife Jenny McCarthy was there. Wow – it was amazing to see the power of the print!

Starting today, the gallery is open for the public to enjoy. Here are more details:
• Open 4-8 pm at the EpiCenter: Artists for Humanity. Free admission.
• Donnie’s photos will be displayed along with the two local photographers’ Scott Nobles and Josh Andrus

We see a lot of products come across our desk at trendymommies and this one is a must if you like to use self-tanner. The bronze buffer is a cushiony sponge that helps wipe away streaks after your self tanner develops. It instantly wipes away the unwanted color with just a touch of water. It has no added ingredients or chemicals. With a bit of water the buffer’s exfoliation instantly removes the unwanted self-tanner on the upper layer of skin with only a few light swipes. It is perfect for elbows and knees, so no more worrying on those areas when you use self-tanner!  Also, this little sponge also removes deodorant from your clothes when it’s dry.   It is the must have item you will need in your closet – we love it! Two sponges costs $10.00.
