Now that September is here so are the dark nail polishes – my favorite – think oxblood and navy colors this season. Of course you can always stick with traditional colors like red or my all time favorite from essie called ballet slipperswhich is a light pink. In fact these sheers from essie really never go out of style.  You have probably seen the already designed stickers like these from essie. I have yet to try them but they seem pretty easy to use and are very on trend right now. My go to favorite is OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark.Â
I also have a few kits to test out including a dark french manicure and the velvet manicure from Ciate. It’s just something a bit different to try and make your nails stand out!

Well, technically it still is summer but that does not mean you can’t fit in a little fall shopping fun! Alana @goodgrlgoneblog helped me choose a couple fun outfits for back to school (I mean for fall!) at Nordstroms Rack in Burlington. They have the best selection of designer clothes at affordable prices.
In early September it is so hard to think about fall clothes as we live in New England and the weather could be hot! I always look for transitional pieces for this time – think lightweight, yet neutral. I chose one dressy outfit – a black and white dress. I can wear it now and when the colder weather hits I will just add leggings, boots, a leather jacket or black sweater. Really, this dress can be worn all year. The second outfit is more casual. With the neutral lightweight tank and top it can be worn now as well as into the colder weather. I also found a pair of Joe’s legging jeans (my favorite!) to complete the look. What do you think?

Backpacks – Love LL Bean backpacks as they are PVC and BPA free and they last forever. My 9 year old is using the backpack we got for my 12 year old last year and it’s as good as new. They really have the best selection for kids of all ages. We do like how if you visit the store they help with the sizing for your child.
Whole Foods sells the adorable Crocodile Creek backpacksand lunch boxes that are perfect for preschoolers that are eco-friendly and cute. Whole Foods also had the Eco Kids ice packs, and quite the selection of all natural items to store in your kids backpacks from lip balms to hand sanitizer and even a bamboo utensil set. The whole foods vanilla honey lip balm is great and if your middle schooler needs a good hand wipe (great for after gym class) have them try the Alba Botanica hawaiian 3 in 1 clean towelettes. We tested them out and they smell great!
Lunch storage needs to be fun, bright and colorful! The Plymouth based cool gearmakes a great selection of lunch sacks, water bottles, salad storage items that are all BPA free.
