Christmas is coming so fast this year. How many of you had your decorations up by Thanksgiving? (I know all the retail stores did!) Each year we get a real tree but I really want an artificial one – one that I can decorate, cover and put away in the basement until next Christmas! It does take a while to decorate your home for the holidays. I have to admit I did start before Thanksgiving so that decorating the tree would not take so long. I think I am going to take steps each year to slowly decorate the whole house so it does not seem like such a chore! This year I did the decorating all by myself with a little help from the elves (my two kids). If you are looking for decorating help this season or are looking for help with your holiday party or staging call Gretchen at The Fancy Kind! Â
It always helps to have extra hands (and a good eye) when it comes to decorating, staging and party planning! Here are a few photos of my decorating skills!
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. As you prepare to head out on your shopping trips here are some tips we discussed on New England Cable news this week!
I had so much fun at last night’s event @MiddlesexCommon.  Middlesex Commonsis my favorite place to shop locally. I stopped at Nordstroms Rack to shop for a few holiday gifts, went over to the dollar store to purchase wrapping paper, gift bags and all the essentials for wrapping: tape, tissue paper and scissors. I actually picked up a few gifts there too (good book selection). I ran into Market Basket for last minute treats for Thanksgiving and a quick stop at the Paper Store and I was done shopping. Then I got to sit down for a nice evening of food tasting and wine paring at The Chateau. I did not know they had so many items on their menu as we were able to sample SO MANY dishes. Of course I knew about their chicken parmigiana and toasted ravioli but did not know about the Scrod Bella Vista and Chicken Francais (my two new favorites) If you go to The Chateau save room for desert as the spumoni was the best. Such a relaxing evening on such a busy week!
Disclosure: I was invited to attend this food tasting and wine paring and got to sample some great food and wine. We were also given a small gift bag with a few goodies as well! All opinions are my own in this blog post!
